If you’re a passionate and excited dancer who wants to learn some stellar new moves, then you have come to the right place. We will help you find the best dance lesson possible… The thing to know when it comes to a dance lesson is that there are many different ways to actually learn and practice. The phrase “dance lesson” can be misleading sometimes.
People are constantly learning, not only from their own experiences and choices, but also from other peoples’. A dance lesson isn’t just one thing… You dont always have to be in a dance class to learn how to dance, although it surely helps. You can go to the clubs and partner up with someone who knows the moves. Better partners make great teachers! Don’t be shy either, just ask. Dance clubs and social dancing can absolutely be a dance lesson in disguise.
Also, try to find an instructional video. They’re great if you want to learn at your own pace. Practice at home… repetition and practice wlll get you where you want to go. But you probably knew that already. The bottom line is… get out and dance, dig the music, and have fun. You can’t go wrong if you do that. Here are some helpful starting points for instructional videos: DanceCrazy, SalsaDanceDVD, or The Dance Store

help?! the woman never mentioned on the phone, should i wear trakkies or jeggings? and what about on my feet?x
You should wear form fitting clothes. The teacher will want to see your lines so make sure you wear either jazz pants, leggings, or shorts that aren’t super baggy. And on your feet you should wear jazz shoes (if you have them) or maybe some socks so you can turn easily.

Teaching Children Dance contains a practical framework and approach for presenting creative dance lessons to children in kindergarten to fifth grade. It combines essential dance content appropriate for an elementary-level program with detailed descriptions of strategies. Featuring 20 dance learning experiences, the book has been updated and expanded to reflect educators’ renewed commitment to making dance an integral part of children’s education. You’ll learn to view dance as an art form while improving your teaching and increasing your confidence. You’ll also learn the benefits of introducing dance to elementary students, the most effective ways to teach it, and what to teach and when to teach it. In part I, you’ll find a wealth of new content, including ideas on how to design and present a dance learning experience composed of units and lessons, suggestions for classroom management, updated assessment content, and strategies for interdisciplinary connections. Part II presents 20 dance learning experiences, reorganized for easy reference into two categories: kindergarten to second grade and third to fifth grade. These ready-to-use experiences walk you step by step through the dance process, beginning with an introduction and ending with a dance. Use experiences from either category as a series or dance unit–either way, you’ll set a welcoming environment for learning and creating.
